Exercises and cantor melodies in ms. notebook. Harmonic exercises are analyzed and in the hand of Maurice Eisenberg. Some of the cantor melodies may be in hand of Eisenberg's father. In addition there are 4-part exercises using cantor-like melodies. Some exercises or pieces have Hebrew or Yiddish titles and Yiddish vowel symbols below or above individual notes. One of the cantor chants is also found in another of Eisenberg's sketch books (Box 1-3) with slight variations.
