Oral history interview with Kimberly Dawn Mozingo
Primarily documents Kimberly Mozingo's adolescence; her service with the United States Air Force; and her educational pursuits. Mozingo recounts growing up in Archdale, North Carolina, where her entire family worked in the textile industry. Mozingo discusses believing that the military was her only option after high school if she wanted a life different from her family's, her experiences in basic training, and her first duty station in England. She recalls being stationed in Ramstein, Germany during the First Gulf War, the few number of women in her units, and the men she looked up to as mentors.
