Oral history interview with M.V."Ginger" Jacocks
Ginger Jacocks tells of her early life, education, military career, and involvement with the military after retirement. Jacocks discusses many aspects of military life, the various positions, assignments, and bases involved in her career, her experience of deployment to Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm/Desert Shield, work with a refugee camp at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, and various military school. Jacocks discusses the role of women in the Marine Corps and in combat,"Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and mentions various anecdotes of social and professional interactions over the time of her service.
