Rosie Grosshans Noel tells of her early life, education, reasons for why she chose the Marine Corps, military service, and involvement with the United States Marine Corps after retiring from the service." Noel discusses the roles of women in the United States Marine Corps, her various duty stations, especially drill instructor duty, her deployment to Iraq and the events surrounding being wounded in Al Asad in Iraq. She also discusses Don't Ask, Don't Tell, and the role of the media in wartime.
