Full biography: Jennie Kwiatanowski joined the WAAC (Women's Auxiliary Army Corps) in 1943 and departed by train for Daytona Beach on March 23. There, she compled basic training and served as a driver in the motor pool transport.The Jennie Kwiatanowski diary contains 73 entried, dating from 23 March 1943 to July 1943. The entried cover the train trip to boot camp at Daytona Beach, Florida, her basic training there, and life in teh WAAC. She describes testing, meals, drilling, training and performing her duties as a driver in the motor pool transport, barracks life, and her social life.
