Women's Army Corps ETO field jacket
Woman's Army Corps olive drab officer's battledress jacket with epaulets with captain's bars,"U.S." collar device, two pockets, waistband that belted on the left side, and three service stripes indicating thirty months of overseas service. Worn with skirt or trousers and garrison cap. The battledress uniform was approved for WACs and nurses serving in the European Theater of Operations in July 1944. Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower encouraged the use of the field jacket and it was nicknamed the Ike jacket after him. This jacket worn by Jeanne McGovern from 1944 to 1945.
