This program is from the 50th Anniversary celebration at College Place United Methodist Church, held from November 26th to December 3, 1950. It includes the order of oorship and events held during that week. There are historical essays (accompanied by black and white photographs) on the founding of College Place, biographical sketches of pastors up to Rev. James Stokes in 1950. Also highlighted are the various other church ministries during these years.

This program is from the 80th Anniversary of College Place United Methodist Church. It includes the Order of Worship from the 50th Anniversary service and historical essays (accompanied by black and white photographs) on the founding of College Place, previous pastors, Women's Work within the church, the Epworth League for young people, the Wesley Foundation, the church's heritage, and hopes for the future, as well as the Order of Worship for the Sunday morning worship service celebrating the 80th anniversary.
Celebration of opening of the Education Building, College Place United Methodist Church
This folder features two typed press releases, three black and white photographs, and one letter. They relate to the opening of the Education Building, Fellowship Hall, and Wesley Foundation center at the church in 1956. One photo shows a church service with members of the military in attendance, bearning a stamp on the back identifying it as an official Pope Air Force Base photo. Another shows the Wesley Foundation and Education Building, credited on the back in a handwritten note by photographer Rob D. Debnam. There is also a 1996 letter from Betty Wallace (the wife of Pastor Bruncon Wallace) accompanying these items when they were sent to the church for potential inclusion in the church archive.
Church register, Spring Garden St. Methodist Episcopal Church South 1916 to 1930
This membership register, with the original name of College Place United Methodist Church, dates from 1916-1930. Internal dates go up to 1920, with a long list of members, apparently from 1920 to 1930 beginning on page 96. The register contains many handwritten entries, including names and dates, of the church's marriages, infant baptisms, and new members.
Church reminiscence, College Place United Methodist Church
This two page handwritten note from an unidentified lifelong member of College Place United Methodist Church, details how she/he moved with their parents to Greensboro in 1905 and began attending the Spring Garden Chapel. There are other memories of the church's early years of the twentieth century, including the beginning of the Childrens Day program.

This folder contains a series of black and white photographs. With the exception of one portrait (identified by a handwritten note on the back as being "Dr. Jim Stokes") and an image of a display set out in one of the Sunday School classrooms, the photographs feature the sanctuary of College Place United Methodist Church and frequently include members of the church choir. The back of one photo has a handwritten note identifying Marian Marsh as the choir director and organist. The back of another photograph (taken by Marcus Deal) contains a list of the choir members' names (mainly last names) according to their placement in the choir loft: M. Price Class memories
This scrapbook contains a variety of materials regarding the Sunday School class at College Place United Methodist Church known as the "Price Class," after the original class teacher, C.F. Price. Items include a program from a "Let's Get Acquainted" dinner when the class first began in 1947 (when it was known as the "Young Adult Class"), a brief history of the group written in 1962, group photographs, Christmas cards, newspaper clippings, the introductory script for a comedic roast of teacher C.F. Price from the annual Christmas party, and a summary of pecan sales (one of the Price Class' fundraising efforts), and of particular note photographic and textual profiles of class members and their families, including. 95th anniversary of the founding of College Place United Methodist Church, Greensboro, N.C.
This November 1995 church program commemorates the 95th anniversary of its founding, and the Homecoming celebraion held that month. The church history from previous anniversary programs is repeated, along with short biographical sketches of each pastor. The 80th anniversary program went through the pastorate of Reverend James Stokes, and his biography is amended here, and then future pastor's, through Glenn S. Griffiths in 1995, are highlighted. Other notable church members are also featured, along with important groups and church ministeries over the years, e.g. Wesley Foundation, United Methodist Women and Men, Scout Programs, and the Youth Fellowship.
