Description	This uncredited September 11, 1956, article from the Greensboro Daily News reports that W.W. Pierson, acting chancellor of the Woman'; s College of the University of North Carolina (WCUNC), told an assembly of student leaders that two recently admitted black students were admitted solely due to a Supreme Court ruling and not because the people of the state wanted them there. Pierson added that the students were deserving of fair treatment and would be eligible to participate in all school activities. Ferguson also listed four concerns: the attitude and contact of the black students, the attitude and contact of the white students, the attitude and practices of the faculty, and public opinion within the larger community.
