Transcript	[1898?] Department of Physiology of Hygiene . A Physiology Laboratory should be fitted up so that the senior Physiological class may be able to study carefully the processes of the digestion of all classes of foods, from the time they enter the mouth until they are ready for assimilation. I think that such a laboratory could be fitted up for $250, not including plumbing. From the expressions of my students, I feel sure that such work would be of great interest and of untold benefit to those who had learned what such a course could teach . Suggestions for the needs of the Gymnasium . For the Gymnasium there should be 1, -More lockers, with the Yale locks,-enough for each student to own one, all to herself 2, -More dressing rooms and better bathing arrangements . 3, -Twenty to thirty double pully [sic] weights.- Spaulding . 4, -One, or better, two horizontal bars . 5, -Six hair mattresses, size of small shuck one . 6, -One rowing machine . 7, -One wrist machine . 8, -One punch ball . 9, -One machine adapted to developing head and neck . 10, -Twenty or thirty light weight dumb bells.-iron . 11, -One or two sets of parallel flying rings . It is necessary to have the Indian clubs made by Mr. Woodruff, carefully weighed, each one, and his work made accurate, as he was not careful with the last order.
