Light grayish-yellow calico-texture cloth; girl holding hat and pair of oars in foreground with fence and cityscape behind in yellow, black, red, and moderate yellow-green, lettered in red and black, all within black single rule border; red circular "Little colonel" trademark stamp on back cover; hat, rules and lettering on spine in red and black. Cover redrawn with numerous differences from an Amy Sacker design used on Marshall Saunders' The story of the Gravelys (1904) and Jeannette Grant's Miss Gray's girls (1907?) Unsigned. |
