NOTICE.
WAS TAKEN UP AND COMMITTED TO THE jail of Randolph County, North-Carolina, on the 9th day of January, 1863, a negro man, who said upon his examination that he was a slave, and that his name was AMOS, and that he belonged to William May, of Pitt County, North-Carolina. The said slave appears to be between 20 and 30 years of age, and is very black.
This notice is to request the owner to come forward, prove property, pay all charges, and take him away, or he will be disposed of according to law.
