NOTICE.
SOME six months ago, a negro man, who calls himself GEORGE, was taken up as a runaway and confined in Person County Jail, and notice thereof was regularly made in Raleigh, North Carolina Standard, and notice is hereby again given, that unless the owner applies, and proves property and pays charges, the said slave will be sold according to Act of Assembly in such case made and provided. Said slave says he belongs to James Jones, of Granville County, N. C.; that said Jones purchased him of William Dupree, of Charlotte County, Va. Said slave appears to be about 45 years old, five feet eight or nine inches high, small scar on the forehead, above the left eye ; had on homespun frock coat and coarse cotton pantaloons, very much worn.
