RUNAWAY OR STOLEN,
FROM the Subcriber, a NEGRO WOMAN by the name of CHINA, who left my service between three and four years ago, and is supposed to have been harbored and concealed by a man by the name of GOODWIN and a woman, his paramour, by the name of MANER. The said Goodwin and woman left Chatham county, on the 30th December last, in the direction of Chapel Hill, and the Negro Woman was seen in company with them, a few miles west of thatvillage, They were travelling in a single-gear wagon, drawn by a blind sorrel chestnut Mare. The Negro Woman is between 35 and 40 years of age, about 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, has a scar on her left jaw, and one on her neck, thick lips and white corners of her mouth. Said Goodwin is a quick spoken, shrewd fellow, with a very smooth tongue, dark skin, about 6 feet high, and very slender made--as is also the white woman, who is supposed to have stolen the bill of sale for said negro as it is missing out of my trunk.
Half the value of the Negro will be paid, if delivered to the Subscriber free of any charge, 7 miles West of Raleigh, on the Chapel Hill road.
