Notice.
Taken up and committed to the Jail of Washington County, N. C. on the 18th day of June last, a NEGRO MAN named WARREN, about 24 years of age, about 6 feet high, yellow complection, spare built, and quick spoken, who says that he belongs to a Mrs. McKenzie, of Richmond, Va. Said negro was sold in this place by Thomas S. Johnston, Esq., to Kenneth Garrett, Esq. of Tennessee, in the year of 1838 or 1839.
This is therefore to give notice to the owner of said negro to come forward, prove property, pay charges, and take him away, or he will be dealt with as the law directs in such cases.
