RANAWAY
FROM the plantation of the subscriber some months past, the following negroes.
Ann, Tom, Sam, Hosea, Arnold, Solomon, and Charles.
Ann is of light complexion, was purchased by me at the sale of J. B. Shine, in Brunswick county, in March last, and is about town. Tom is tall black fellow, was purchased in this place in June last at the sale of the late R. H. Cowan's negroes; he is no doubt about town. Sam is a tall black man about thiry-four years old, was raised in Duplin county and purchased by me in 1833 at the sale of Wm. [William] Dunn's negroes. Hosea was raised in Onslow county; he is low and has quite an impediment in talking. Solomon was raised in Wake county by Rev. [Reverand] Bennet T. Blake. Arnold is a young black man raised in Wayne county. Charles is not quite grown, and purchased by me of James W. Howard, of Jones county.
I will give Twenty-Five Dollars for the apprehension and confinement in Jail, so that I get them, for each one.
DANIEL L. RUSSELL, Brunswick county.
