$10 Reward.
RANAWAY from the Subscriber, on the 20th July last, negro boy Peyton, aged about 20 years, weighs about 150 pounds, dark copper color, pert look, high forehead, but little beard, looks brown, long and fuzzy. He formerly belonged to James Moore, dec'd, of Halifax county, but was sold in Tarboro for a division in the first of the year 1854. I think he may be lurking about the old place, or he may be in Edgecombe or Nash. I will give the above reward for his apprehension and delivery to me near Rocky Mount, or if confined in any jail so that I get him again.
Frederick Proctor.
