$25 Reward.
RAN AWAY from the Subscriber, on Saturday night last, the 7th inst. my negro man
ISAAC,
Aged about 30 years, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches in height, stout built, and somewhat yellow complected. Isaac is quite intelligent, and is a very good fidler[sic]--he is apt to stutter in speaking when confused. It is conjectured that he will try to make his way to the free States. The above reward will be given for his apprehension, if delivered to me, 14 miles below Tarboro', or if secured in any jail so that I get him again. All persons are cautioned against harboring or carrying off said negro, under penalty of the law.
