Sixty Dollars Reward.
Ran away or stolen from the subscriber, about the last of August or the first of September, two negro boys, JIM and CALVIN. Jim is about 18 years of age, 6 feet and the rise high, weights 180 or 190 lbs, large full eyes, round shoulders, knock kneed, large hands and feet, a large bulge in the hollow of his feet, stutters when spoken to, black complexion.
Calvin is about 20 years of age, yellow complexion, ring eyed, broad about his eye-brows, broad mouth, thin lips, punch mouth, slender made, supposed to weigh 130 or 140 lbs, the back of one of his hands much seared by a Cotton Gin, which draws some of his fingers, a large scar on his rump, caused by a burn.
It is thought that these negroes have been conveyed off by some person or persons to the South or Western States. I will give 20 dollars for the apprehension of the negro boys, or 10 dollars for either of them, and 40 dollars for the conviction of the thief.
I will thank any person for any information they can give relative to said negroes, by letters, directed to Buckhorn Falls, Chatham county, N. Carolina.
JAMES BATTLE.
