Notice.
On the 3d day of March last, ran away from the subscriber, one negro man named JOHN, sometimes called Jack, about 6 feet high, a little lame in one of his ancles[sic] if closely noticed, about 22 years old; and took with him a bundle of clothes, and a black bombazett[e] frock coat; among them some books, one Testament, one Scott's lesson, one hymn book, one printed note book and Spelling book. Said negro came from Norfolk, Va. and it is expected that he will try to go there again. If any person will take him up and bring him to me, or confine him in any jail so that I can get him, will receive the sum of ten dollars.
