Dear Mr. President,
As a citizen of the United States, I've been very frustrated by the empty promises made not only to the world by the U.S. government but also to our own people. I firmly believe that it is the role of the president to care for the people of his nation. I hope that in your administration, there will be a voice for the marginalized, for those who are poor, for those who are sick, for those who are scared. I believe we need to stop giving empy support to people, financial support but not structural; verbal support but not active. I'm both terrified and excited by the coming election. And I hope with all my heart that we begin to see change and dedication to all or our people just as they are.
Sincerely,
Rachel Kitch
