Description	The typewritten note, dated April 2, 1973, and signed "Helen", documents a conversation between University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) Dean James Allen and Student Government Association (SGA) Vice President Jackie Coleman about a possible lawsuit to be filed over the Neo-Black Society incident. On March 26, 1973, SGA voted to reclassify (removed funding and recognition from) the Neo-Black Society. The SGA decision was overturned by university administration, resulting in an eventual legal case that led to the Neo-Black Society's reinstatement as a recognized and funded organization.

Full text	4/2/73 FROM DEAN ALLEN: He had a good talk with Jackie Coleman v/ho told him that they do plan an appeal to the Board since they question the authority of the Chancellor to set aside an action of the Senate. She did say that Steve L. and Doug Harris are, through their attorney Mr. Curtis, going to enter a suit. Jackie wasn't sure whether their suit would be against NBS or against the University. Only Steve and Doug will pursue this though. All of the other students who originally joined Steve in this pursuit have withdrawn their names and have disassociated themselves from it completely.
