Dear Chancellor Ferguson:
I am a junior here at the University, majoring in Foods and Nutrition.
During the last two years, I have become increasingly concerned with the
food service on this campus.  I realize that it is indeed late to be expressing this fast to someone of authority but nevertheless I feel that
something can and should be done.
The best suggestion I have to make is the pay-as-you-go plan.  I am
sure that such a plan would be more expensive but the students with whom
I am in contact are willing to pay the price.  I also feel that under these
circumstances Slater, or any other food service company, would be forced
to employ higher standards.
I understand some of the problems that suchjan organization as Slater
has but conditions can be improved.  I am more -chan willing to do anything
necessary to promote a change for the coming years.  If there is someone
else to whom this letter should be directed, please let me know or forward
it to them.
