Chief Paul B. Calhoun
Greensboro City Police
Drawer "W-2
Greensboro, North Carolina
Deer Chief Calhoun:
I am writing to express my gratitude and that of my
colleagues for the excellent work of the Greensboro City Police
in connection with the food workers' strike at UNC-G during the
period from March 27 to April 2.
Several tines we had the potentialities for serious trouble
here. The ready cooperation the City Police provided us, and the
wisdom and patience they exhibited helped to keep the situation in
hand. Many officers carried out their responsibilities well, but I
would mention especially Captan Jackson and his force who were
on hand during the night of March 31-April 1 to forestall any Illegal
activity.
I have great respect for you and your colleagues. Again,
thank you for your help.
Sincerely,
James S. Ferguson
