The HonoraDxe Jan k. Moore
Governor of North Carolina
Raleigh, North Carolina
It is impossible for me to understand why car State will permit
the State owned universities to allow dangerous radical elements
to use the universities to dignify their foul-mouthing of hatred
against cur country. The case in point is the University of
North Carolina in Greensboro, allowing the black power forum
to he hele on the campus.
fortunately I do not have a child of mine In the University of
North Carolina in Greensboro but if I did, I would call them
home immediately. I would not want my children being exposed
to people who advocate the overthrow of the government
(regardless of whether they are black or white). We send our
children to college to be educated so they may serve their state,
country ana themselves in a more effective manner. I cannot, for
the life of me, see why as part of their education they must be
exposed to people such as they.
You, as Governor of the State, must see to it that such things as
this do not happen. I hope to see a strong statement by you in
the press condemning the officials of the University of North
Carolina for permitting such as this to go on.
