Student Demonstrations ^hatter Illusion Of Apathy

Henry Frye, Greensboro attorney and state legislator, informs the students of results in the
negotiations between the striking cafeteria workers and ARA Slater Food Service. Mr. Frye was hired
to represent the workers in the negotiations.
Students wait for word from the negotiations Monday night. The meeting lasted past two o'clock,
considering different alternatives that the students could follow.
Students supporting the striking cafeteria marched to the administration building where negotiations
were going on between the workers and Slater.
The striking cafeteria workers asked the studenno sumort them by not eating in the dining halls,
soda shop and robot room. Food lines in Elliott IB servd approximately 700 each meal.
The student strike overcame the "heavy foot of tradition" on the UNC-G campus.
