Black Power
Is Planned
The Executive Cabinet of SGA
approved on October 4 a National Student Association
sponsored conference on black
power. The conference is planned as a three-day meeting,
comprising panel discussions,
lectures, and workshops, all to
be led by a number of black people active on state and national
levels in the black power movement. The conference is
schedultd to take place the first
three days in November.
Representing NSA at the Executive Cabinet meeting was
Betty Cheek, assistant coordinator of NSA on UNC-G's
campus. Details and names of
the conference speakers are yet
to be announced. The black
power conference is part of a
series of SGA-sponsored
seminars on university-related
problems to be held this year.
