On July 8th, the people of China Grove, supported by£lack and^t
justice-loving people from around North Caro ma, -fj^f^r permitted
face to face. The Klan was there because the town board and mayo P
them to come. The Klan hoped to set up ^dquafrs^o ^"^^"^
bers and spread their racist poison. But they failed! We took: their g
burned it and they did nothing but look scared. Even though they showed of
;their M-14's and M-16's, they were forced to tuck their taxiand *™ £° *
/Community Center. Sunday, July 8 th, proved the people urn*d a re strng
/ and the Klan is a slimy pack of cowards. They are ^^^^^Vhe KLAN!
\ and we intend, together with others, to step up our fight to SMASH TH*. &
On July 21st, we are holding a mass meeting at ^ *"^°™^Sim
Center in China Grove at 3:30 p.m. for people in the *"**"****£' ^fof the
Lexington, Salisbury, Concord, Kannapolis. We will discuss he mean^o the
rise of the KKK and organize a comprehensive plan to, smash the£1an WhUe
this is an areawide meeting, we welcome people from all over the state who
share our interest.

We will not forget the bloody history of the Klan, that murdered and ™»ff
our brothers and sisters. We will not let the Klan quietly build up its forces
again!
The Klan is not just a bunch of narrow-minded racists. They <«« *£»£°<
the large companies, like Kannon and Cone, who work us to death fo; ^wTite
wages and use the Klan to try to split the growing unity between Black and White
workers.
The fight against the Klan is not. a Black against White matter We want to
make a special appeal to White workers and White people generally to °rSanlze
and stand firmly against the Klan. This is very important, be cause the reason
the Klan is being promoted is to divide Blacks and Whites.^/^/^f
the Klan is in the interest of the entire working class, Black and White, and
all justice-loving people.
