McIver by students, last names E to K, of the State Normal & Industrial College, informing the school of whether or not they can return following the Brick Dormitory fire of 1904. Topics include dormitory fire, reserving a room, Midway dormitory. A few of the students were related to North Carolina business owners. They wrote using the business letter heads; Sara B. Hammond (Richland Cotton Mills), Ethel Lewis Harris (Harris Warehouse Company), Nell Hoskins (J. A. Hoskins, Summerfield highway commissioner), Ida R. Hunt (E. E. Hunt, Jr. Mocksville bicycle shop), and Anna Killian (William Killian & Son South Fork Nursery, Newton, N.C.).
