My dear Lula: - Our bill for $15,000 annually for four years passed appropriation Com. by vote of 9 to 7 this p.,. Baptists making terrible fights McIntyre (?) & Bailey & Rhodes of Littleton chief- Webb & [indecipherable] tried to scale our app- but foiled. Turner of great value to me. The Unitersity & A. & M. bulls are up now. The commmittee fought over our app. [indecipherable] for an hour. I'm broken down. Can't come home Sunday this time. Love you all- Affy, Your husband
