My Dear Lula:- I was sorry to hear this am that you had been sick. If you haven't sent my slippers, don't. I think our bill will pass the seante tomorrow.
Vance was formally elected today. I am nearly worn out. Little sleep and a great deal of standing. The Gov's Mansion isn't what it is cracked up to be. Dan Jr's shoes were out at the heel. Mary's hands and face were dirty & so were many other things in the house.
