Incomplete sections of various writings, most by Dr. Charles D. McIver. Many of the documents detail Dr. McIver's efforts to build the education of women and of the needs of the Normal and Industrial College. Contents include an article profiling some educated and professional women, including Dr. Miriam Biting, 'Miss Bryant', 'Miss Boddie', 'Miss Mendenhall'. Also included are items mentioning the Peabody Funds and Jos. J. Stone & Company, a biography of Dr. McIver credited to J.Y. Joyner, several notes and writings about the needs for women's education, charts and financial records of teachers' salaries, material on the expanision of the Normal and Industrial College, Citizens National Bank, and Simmons Liver Regulator.
