Martha Carson Isgett (1945- ) graduated from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) in 1967. She was a class officer and named an Outstanding Senior. Isgett talks about how the excellent reputation of the Department of Physical Education influenced her decision to come to UNCG, the difficulty of the curriculum and the faculty who influenced her, including Ethel Martus Lawther, Celeste Ulrich, Rosemary McGee, June Galloway and Dorothy Davis. She remembers campus and dorm life, intramural sports, coeducation and integration. She discusses her enjoyment of her college years and how much she loved her time at a mainly women's institution, even though she feels that UNCG and the School of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance have changed considerably.
