Description	The McIver Statue in front of McIver Memorial Building before the east wing was built in 1921. The statue of Charles Duncan McIver, sculpted by French-born artist Frederick W. Ruckstuhl, was dedicated on Founders Day, October 5, 1912. A duplicate statue stands on the capitol grounds in Raleigh, North Carolina. The statue previously stood south of the McIver Building, but was moved to the front lawn of Jackson Library in 1960.
