Mrs. Angela Polk-Jones was born in Chesterfield, South Carolina in 1967. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. During her years at the University, Mrs. Polk-Jones played on Women’s Basketball, and was part of the team that went to the 1988 NCAA Women’s Final Four. In 1989, her jersey was the first in the University’s history to be retired. She currently serves as the first principle for the Middle College at UNCG. In her interview, Mrs. Polk-Jones discusses her early life, UNCG Women’s Basketball, and The Middle College at UNCG.
