"Dr. Celia Hooper was born in 1951 in Edenton, NC. She graduated from Wake Forest University with her Bachelor's, and from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with her Master's. She received her Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University. Her work focuses on adult neurogenic speech and language disorder, voice disorders, and innovative teaching in speech-language pathology. Dr. Hooper is currently the Dean of the School of Health and Human Sciences. In her interview, Dr. Hooper discusses her early life, faculty, as well as her time as a graduate student and as the Dean of the School of Human Health and Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
