Dr. Thomas Martinek was born in 1943 in Hinsdale, IL. Dr. Martinek received his bachelor's from the University of North Dakota, Master's from George Williams College, and Ph.D. from Boston University. He has worked with the University of North Carolina at Greensboro for 40 years, and has focused his research towards the social and psychological dynamics of teaching and coaching. In addition to his research, Dr. Martinek established the Middle College of UNCG. In his interview, Dr. Martinek discusses his early life, the kinesiology department, and UNCG.
