Items include memorandums, letters, and a sociology paper on the subject of the Student Government recommending the reclassification of the Neo-Black Society from a Type II to a Type I organization after the organization was charged with racial discrimination in 1973. This would stop funding for the organization provided by the university. A sit in was staged following the decision. A faculty committe, a board of trustees meeting, and another hearing overturned the initial ruling of the Student Government. The final decision to was aided by the Neo-Black Society ammending their non-discrimination statement in the organization bylaws to provide clearer wording.
