The Liberace Trio
German pianist Radha Upton earned her diplomas in Piano
Pedagogy, Piano Performance, and Piano Chamber Music at the
Rostock College of Music and Theatre in Northern Germany.
Among her teachers were Matthias Kirschnereit, Renate
Kretschmar- Fischer, Stephan Imorde, Andrzej Jasinski, and
Hamish Milne. A scholar of the Rotary Foundation, Radha spent
the academic year of 2000/01 as an “Ambassador of Good Will”
at Indiana University Bloomington.
Radha performed as a chamber musician and soloist at the
festival for contemporary music Tage Neuer Musik Rostock and at
the Festspiele Mecklenburg- Vorpommern. She appeared as
soloist with the Studentenensemble der Jeunesses Musicales
Bremen in Denmark and Moscow, Russia, as well as with the
Junge Sinfoniker Bielefeld, and Junge Marburger Philharmonie.
Currently, Radha is a doctorate student with Andrew Harley in the
program for collaborative piano at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Julianne Odahowski, originally from Orlando, Florida, received
the Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance from Florida
State University. She has performed with the Orlando
Philharmonic Orchestra, and as assistant concertmaster of the
Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra and the FSU Symphony
Orchestra. While at FSU, Julianne participated in a filming of
Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Ellen Zwilich’s Peanuts Gallery,
which aired nationally on PBS. She has attended the
Meadowmount School of Music, the National Orchestral Institute,
the Schlern International Music Festival (Italy), and the National
Symphony/Kennedy Center Summer Music Institute. Her
previous teachers include Joni Roos, Beth Newdome, and Karen
Clarke. Currently, Julianne is pursuing the MM degree in violin
performance at UNCG, studying with Dr. John Fadial. In addition
to performing with the Liberace Trio, she is a member of the
Greensboro Symphony Orchestra, the Fibonacci Chamber
Orchestra, UNCG’s Gate City Camerata, and teaches violin at
Moore Music Company.
Anne Berry is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina. She
completed high school at the North Carolina School of the Arts,
and received her Bachelor’s of Music degree from Duquesne
University where she studied with Anne Martindale-Williams. In
2003, Anne was the winner of the Duquesne University Women’s
Advisory Board Competition for her performance of J.S. Bach’s
works for solo cello. Anne received her Master’s Degree from the
San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She currently studies with
Dr. Beth Vanderborgh, and is working on her Doctorate of Musical
Arts at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Over the
years, Anne has performed in masterclasses for many
internationally acclaimed chamber musicians including The
Kodaly String Quartet, Robert Mann, Martha Katz, Bernard
Greenhouse, Norman Fischer, and Gilbert Kalish.
