The Class of 1944 folder contains material pertaining to the 1944 graduating class of Woman's College of the University of North Carolina (WCUNC, now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro). Included in the folder are programs, news clippings, speeches, a newsletter and other materials from the 1944 commencement activities. Also included are dance booklets, a business department letter, a program from the Christmas pageant, a program from the May Day presentation titled "An Old English Feast of the May" and a program and script from the Senior Unmusical titled "The Tragedy of Gua." In addition, there is a directory and alumnae programs from class reunions held in 1954, 1960, and 1965. There is also a program from the bronze plague unveiling in 1997. Of particular interest is a paper written by Lola Mai Johnson Ely Ragan describing her experiences throughout college.
