Letters and documents written to and by Dr. Charles McIver. Topics include renting a piano, academic catalogs, the application process, a mistake in assigning an applicant to take the teachers' scholarship examination when she hadn't applied for the scholarship and had no aspirations to teach, correspondence with the Southern Lyceum Bureau, educational advertising, the installation of a gasoline engine in the dairy building not up to code, a correction of previous correspondence stating that the young man who had inspected the dairy for the insurance company apparently misunderstood the arrangement, scheduling another inspection of the gasoline engine for insurance purposes, potential students, and recommendation letters.
