Description
Letters written by Beth Puckett to her husband Lewis Puckett who was serving in the US Navy in the Pacific Theatre. Topics include the sighting of an acquaintance in a newsreel about a tank crew in Germany, sewing and making clothes, yard work and house repairs, their son Steven recovering from having his tonsils out, their daughter Sherry coming down with scarlet fever, the quarantined household, an annoying relative who showed more emotion over her dog's death than her sons in war zones, and preparing the children's Easter baskets. Several hand-drawn sketches of clothes bought and made are also included in the letters.
