Description
This folder contains a composition notebook belonging to Mary Mendanhall Hobbs. The notebook contains a draft of an essay on Nathan Hunt. The folder contains a letter to Hobbs from Catherine P. Sheppard, dated 1905, in which she recounts her memories and knowledge of Nathan Hunt. The final document in the folder is a handwritten essay by John Hilton, titled "Nathan Hunt of North Carolina, U.S.A" and dated "1 month 23, 1908." A note in pencil at the top of the essay says "published in B.F.H.S."
