Very dark green (C147) very fine diagonal rib cloth; lettered thick rule panel in center with birds flying through, ships and waves around, all within thick rule border, all in gilt; signed "BS" i.e. Bertha Stuart; publisher's device, waves and birds within thick rule border on back cover in gilt; motif repeated on spine in gilt; a.e.g. Illustrated endpapers in black and white signed by Walter King Stone.
