Dark grayish-blue very fine diagonal rib cloth; four panels ruled in black, upper panel has man on camel back riding through desert, lower panel has four tepees and pot over fire, left middle panel has leaves and instruments, right panel in scroll design, lettered, circular vignette of ship mast , all in gilt and black; motif repeated on spine in gilt and black. Floral endpapers in green.
