Veteran's biography |
Gertrude McSpiritt served in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps and the Women's Army Corps from June 1943 to November 1945. She attended basic training at Fort Devons, Massachusetts, and was then sent to Presque Isle, Maine. McSpiritt later worked as a recruiter in Providence, Rhode Island, before being transferred to Kindley Air Force Base in Bermuda. She was separated from the service at Fort Dix, New Jersey. |
