Dearest Mother and Daddy," Well, I've had two wonderful letters from my darling, and he is home on leave, I suppose you all have had word from him too.
I only wish that I could have been there when he got back. I hope I can be back with him before too very long. I just wonder how he looks- if he's changed any. I can hardly wait to see him. He says he's pretty lonesome, and I am too. I suppose he told you that he reports to Asheville, N.C. when his leave is up. If I could only get back there.
I'm off this afternoon, so I'm catching up on my corresponding.
I had a letter from Jay the other day, and he says he's been very ill in the Air Corps hospital in San Antonio, Texas. So I guess that is the reason you haven't heard from him. He didn't say what was the matter.
I received the box from Aunt Esther the other day. Speaking of boxes, don't mail me any more packages until I tell you to, because we might move to another place. I'll get you know when to send them again. The papers in the box were old, but I enjoyed reading them. I saw in one of them about Harold Krauss, Jr. dying in Belgium from injuries.
You should see ""Rebel"" She's getting cuter every day, and she's really a little devil. Always into something.
Well, I guess this is all for now. Will write again in a couple of days.
