Don't you worry about me going off to OCS school! I'm stationed close to you here and that means everything to me. I'll confess something now, honey. I got on that subject chiefly because I didn't want you to turn down the job with Nord if you really wanted it. In other words, I didn't want to stand in your way!" The way I look at the officer business, I'm just extra lucky to be stationed so close to you. And you come first! It's such grand fun to come home to you, dear, and you are as devilish yet sweet as always. If this base is ever closed, and I'm still in the Army, or if the Army gets so inconsiderate as to send me elsewhere against my wishes and protests, then I'll try for it. But as it is now, the set up to be in the army is perfect for I can hustle home to you each week. My superior treats me just fine, and insists I leave early enuf [sic] so I make the bus without fail.
Now don't you worry about me going away, 'cause I don't intend to! The brighter the war picture, too, the fewer selected!
Let's have ice cream again? Call Joyce and see if we can come to her house Sat eve and see pictures please.
I will be on bus per usual - will go earlier to exam so can make schedule.

I had a letter from cousin Mary Higbee and card from Dad today besides your letter. I think of you so often and am thankful for a hubby so sweet. This is written at the office.
