Ruth Marguerite Gregg (Rossi) (1917-2000) served in the Army Nurse Corps from 1944-1946 .
Ruth Marguerite Gregg (Rossi?" a Washington, D.C., native and graduate of the Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Baltimore, entered the Army Nurse Corps in early 1944 at the age of twenty-one. In 1944, Gregg was sent to England with the 93rd General Hospital unit. There, Gregg served as a nurse anesthetist with her unit in Wales. Gregg was engaged to Dr. Harold Rossi, a researcher at Johns Hopkins. |
