Charles Weill was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina. He recounts his childhood during the Great Depression and its major impact on the city. Weill talks about his participation in the development of Greensboro, particularly the planning of the street system, Four Seasons Mall, new Irving Park, and Summit Shopping Center. He addresses some of the issues facing Greensboro in the future such as competition from other major cities in the South, strained water resources, and the continued growth of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG).
