$25 REWARD.---RANAWAY FROM THE subscriber on the first of May last, a negro man named JOSHUA, aged about 22 years, about 5 feet 8 or 10 inches high, weighs about 150 or 160 pounds, black complexion, slow to speak, was purchased of Willis B. Barfield, on Middle Creek, Wake county, and was raised by the late Frederick Barfield, of Sampson county, N. C. It is believed he is lurking in the neighborhood of one of the above described places.
To any person that will deliver said negro to me at Summerville, Harnett county, or confine him in any jail so that I get him again, I will pay the above reward of twenty-five dollars.
